Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to provide ENHANCED COMPENSATION for the acquisition of Petitioners' land admeasuring 8440 sq.mtr. situate in Karaikudi-Ramanathapuram National Highway-Thennervayal Village Survey Nos.31/1, 31/3A1A, 31/4C2 of Sivagangai District, by following the provisions of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and at par with the similarly placed persons in Kannankottai Village and as per Order in W.P. (MD) No. 21735 of 2017 dated 25.01.2018, by considering Petitioners' representation dated 28.12.2019, within the period stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

Learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondent, on instructions, states that the enquiry on the representation made by the Petitioners for enhancement of compensation has been fixed at 3.00 p.m. on 16.03.2020 before the Respondent and notice would be issued to all parties concerned, including the Petitioners, for the same.

The Respondent shall ensure that there is atleast one effective hearing every week showing progress of the case. After affording full opportunity of hearing to all parties concerned, the Respondent shall consider each of the contentions raised by the parties and pass reasoned orders on merits in accordance with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P. (MD) No. 4558 of 2020 law, and shall communicate the decision taken to them under written acknowledgment and file a report of such compliance before the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court by 31.08.2020. 3.

The Writ Petition is disposed on the aforesaid terms. No costs.
