ORDER

Challenging the order passed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi, dated 03.01.2024 in Cr.M.P.No.40 of 2024 in C.A.No.03 of 2024, the present Criminal Revision has been filed by the petitioner against the condition imposed on him to deposit 20% of the cheque amount.

2. Earlier, the Court below vide its order dated 03.01.2024, suspended the sentence of the petitioner on condition that he shall deposit 20% of the cheque amount ie., Rs.80,000/- (Rupees Eighty Thousand only) before the trial Court within one month from the date of that order.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the petitioner could not mobilise the funds in time to deposit the aforesaid amount within the stipulated time frame as directed by the Court below in its order dated 03.01.2024, he has sought for extension of time to deposit the said amount. 2/4

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant further time and accordingly, two weeks time is granted to the petitioner for depositing 20% of the cheque amount before the trial Court, failing which, this revision shall stand dismissed. It is made clear that no further time will be granted to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Revision Case is disposed of.
