This petition filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure code, praying to issue a direction, directing the Principal District and Sessions Judge, (PCR Court), Dindigul to consider the petitioner's bail application on the same day of his surrender in Cr.No.91/2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Kallimandiyam Police Station, Dindigul District.
Order : This Criminal Miscellaneous petition coming on for hearing on this day upon perusing the petition and affidavit and material papers of this petition and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.T.Lenin kumar , Advocate for petitioner and of Mr.K.Anbarasan, Government Advocate (Crl side), on behalf of the Respondents, this Court made the following orders:- This petition is filed for extension of time to surrender before the Principal District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court), Dindigul, in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8778 of 2017, dated 12.07.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.Though this Court has earlier allowed similar petition by extending the time granted earlier by the original order dated 12.07.2017, for a period of two weeks, it is represented that the earlier order of this Court was construed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court), Dindigul, as an order which would mean that time granted to the petitioner would expire within two week from 12.07.2017. Therefore, it is submitted that the petitioner could not appear before the lower Court in compliance with the direction. This Court is inclined to accept the reasons stated in the petition for extension of time.
