Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to provide police protection, permission to conduct the cultural and spiritual activities in Arulmiku Sri Palamma
Natchiyar Amman Kovil Kodai Vila on 05.02.2026 to 07.02.2026 at Puliyangulam Village, Karungulam Post, Srivaikundam Taluk, Thoothukudi District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2026 and based on the Festival Notice.
ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to provide police protection, permission to conduct the cultural and spiritual activities in Arulmiku Sri Palamma Natchiyar Amman Kovil Kodai Vila on 05.02.2026 to 07.02.2026 at Puliyangulam Village, Karungulam Post, Srivaikundam Taluk, Thoothukudi District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2026 and based on the Festival Notice. 2.The Tahsildar, Srivaikundam, Thoothukudi District, is suo motu impleaded by this Court as 4th respondent. The Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendments wherever necessary.
3.The 4th respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 04.02.2026 and conduct enquiry by calling the petitioner and the rival groups and pass orders in accordance to law forthwith.
4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
