ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.122 of 2021 on the file of the second respondent to any other officer not below the rank of Inspector of Police to conduct investigation in accordance with law and file final report.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that earlier a murder case was registered against the petitioner and after trial, he was acquitted from the said case, that subsequently another case in Crime No.15 of 2022 was registered and the same is pending and that the present case in Crime No.122 of 2021 was registered for the offences under Sections 120B, 419, 420, 423, 465, 468 and 471 IPC on the file of Courtallam Police Station and the same was ordered to be transferred to the Inspector of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Tenkasi District vide proceedings of the Superintendent of Police, Tenkasi District dated 19.03.2021 and the same is now pending before the Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Tenkasi District. 2/4

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Inspector of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Tenkasi District is directed to proceed with the investigation and the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Tenkasi District is directed to monitor the investigation.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
