Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to fix the seniority on par with the 1st batch based on the marks secured by the respective petitioners in the police training college as per Rule by considering the representation of the petitioners dated 06.12.2017, 14.12.2007 and 14.12.2017 within a reasonable time.

ORDER

The petitioners herein were originally recruited as Sub Inspectors of Police. They are now serving as Inspector of Police. They want their seniority to be fixed on par with their first batch based on the marks secured by them in the police training college. 2.Heard the learned counsel either side.

3.This Court does not express any opinion on the merits of the matter. It is open to the authority to pass orders one way or other.

4.The second respondent is directed to pass orders on the petitioners representations within a period of 8 weeks from today. 5.These writ petitions are disposed of as indicated above. No costs.
