This Writ Petition has been filed to declare the selection made by the 2nd respondent on 25.01.2023 selecting the 4th respondent as Village Assistant to Melmangalam Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, pursuant to the Notification dated 11.10.2022 as null and void.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has participated in the selection process to the post of Village Assistant in Melmangalam Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District. The result has not been published. However, to shock and surprise, the second respondent told the petitioner that the fourth respondent was already selected to the post of Village Assistant in Melmangalam Village on 25.01.2023. Hence, the present writ petition 2/5
has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that it would suffice, if this Court directs the respondents to publish the result and give the details of selection of the candidate to the petitioner to enable him to work out his remedy, within a specified period.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to publish the result of the petitioner and give the details of selection of the candidate to the petitioner to enable him to work out his remedy in the manner known to law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
