ORDER
The petitioner has applied for a batch licence on 13.02.2024 and has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue a batch licence to the petitioner by considering his application dated 13.02.2024.

Mrs.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and submits that based on the petitioner's application, the respondents have sought for a report from the Police as mandated as per Circular No.43/2000 (Lr.No. 74567/H2/99) dated 23.03.2020. On receipt of the police verification report, they would verify as to whether the petitioner is capable for driving the heavy vehicles and thereafter, they would issue the batch licence to the petitioner. The said process would be completed within a period of four weeks.
