ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to prevent the Jallikattu event arranged by the 4th respondent scheduled to be conducted on 19.02.2024 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2024. 2.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader takes notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.R.Meenakshi Sundaram, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 2 and 3. Considering the nature of order going to be passed in this Writ Petition, notice to the 4th respondent is dispensed with.

4.According to the petitioner, the 4th respondent, without obtaining necessary permission from the 1st respondent, has decided to conduct Jallikatti event on 19.02.2024 in Kelapallapatti Village, Pulangulathupatti Post, Aluthur, Trichy District. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 14.02.2024 to the official respondents. Since the same has not been considered so far, he has filed this Writ Petition.

5.On perusal of the affidavit filed in support of this petition, we are of the view that the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted and it is for the respondent concerned to consider the fact that the private respondent shall comply with the relevant provisions of the Act and Rules. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
