ORDER

The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the appeal petition dated 18.07.2024 pending with the first respondent. 2.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the appeal is pending with the first respondent and suitable directions may be issued to the first respondent to hear and dispose of the said appeal petition expeditiously.

4.The case of the petitioner is that his uncle suppressing the existence of other legal heirs, has obtained patta in his name. The petitioner, therefore, has filed the appeal to cancel the said patta and to restore patta in the name of the 2/4

petitioner's grandfather, K.Alagar. The petitioner has given a representation on 09.01.2025 seeking early hearing of the appeal petition dated 18.07.2024. 5.In view of the limited relief that has been prayed for in this petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal petition, dated 18.07.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
