O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order passed by the respondent, whereby the request of the petitioner for providing an electricity service connection to his residential property was rejected on the ground that the property belongs to the temple.

2. A perusal of the records reveals that Survey No.280/9A belongs to the temple. However, Survey No.280/9B is a private patta land. The petitioner's father is one of the co-pattadars along with ten others in respect of the said survey number.

3. In view of the above facts, the impugned order is set aside, and the respondent is directed to provide electricity service connection, if the residential house is located in Survey No. 280/9B.

4. With the above observations, this writ petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 10.02.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No 2/4
