ORDER

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner under the guise of an enquiry.

2. Mr.R.Erottuchamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would contend that there are four cases against the present petitioner in Crime Nos.227 of 2013, 174 of 2015 of Vedasandur Police Station, Crime No.153 of 2014 of Ammaiyanayakanur Police Station and Crime No.10 of 2019 of Manaparai Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 323, 324, 342, 506 (ii), 147, 148, 427 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code, and that the petitioner is a history sheeter in H.S.No.179 of 2019.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the second respondent is directed to follow the guidelines issued in the decision in D.K.Basu Vs. State of West Bengal reported in AIR (1997) SC 610.
