Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay 5% basic pay as personal pay by extending G.O.Ms.No.176, Finance (CMPC) Department dated 30.04.2009 to petitioner's husband Late A.Raj who worked as a Meter Reader in the third respondent's corporation by considering petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2017 within the time frame. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is a serving employee of the Madurai Corporation. She seeks payment of 5% of his basic pay as personal pay. She wants conferment of this relief by extension of G.O.Ms.No.176, Finance (CMPC) Department dated 30.04.2009. She has given a representation in this regard on 01.08.2017. 3.The third respondent is directed to forward the said representation to the Government through the second respondent. The first respondent is directed to pass orders on the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
