O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to conduct a survey, demarcate the petitioner's property comprised in Old Survey No.11A/1 and New Survey No.11A/1A of Vasudevanallur Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District, and issue a patta within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner submitted a representation seeking survey of the property in question and demarcation of its boundaries and that the respondents may be directed to issue patta in the name of the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that upon the petitioner paying the requisite survey charges Page No. 2 of 5

and after considering the claims of the parties, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923 and thereafter the request for issuance of patta would be considered on receipt of a representation from the petitioner.

Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the third and fourth respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2025 and subject to the petitioner paying the requisite survey charges, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after considering the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that prior to surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested persons, if any. The petitioner's request for issuance of patta shall be considered after completion of the survey on the petitioner's representation, if already submitted. Otherwise, the petitioner shall make a fresh representation for issuance of patta after the survey. Page No. 3 of 5

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
