Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned publication for the posts included in Combined Civil Services Examination-II (Interview posts) (GroupII Services), 2014-2015 & 2015-2016 and quash the annexure in respect of the rejection of the petitioner in Register No.260506216 and consequently direct the respondents to include the petitioner's name to participate in oral interview in the publication and permit the petitioner to attend the oral interview.

Mr.K.K.Senthil, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
By consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner is a candidate who applied, pursuant to the recruitment notification issued by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, for filing up of posts in Group-II Services for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
years 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. The petitioner had erroneously submitted in her online application that she studied in Tamil Medium. Since this claim turned out to be incorrect, the candidature of the petitioner was rejected. The same is assailed in this Writ Petition.
4.In response to a specific question as to whether the petitioner claims reservation under PSTM category, the petitioner has replied "No". Thus, the petitioner did not seek any advantage or benefit thereunder. The wrong detail that was furnished by the petitioner that she is possessing the preferential qualification in Tamil Medium did not make any difference in this case. 5.In such view of the matter,the order impugned in this writ petition is quashed in so far as the petitioner is concerned. The respondents are directed to consider the candidature of the petitioner in accordance with law and permit the petitioner to take part in the interview.
