ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to give permission and adequate police protection for the peaceful performance of the Panguni Uthira Festival scheduled to 1/3

be held on 06.04.2020 in Sri Villiyar Temple and its allied temples namely Sri.Ariyanatchi Amman and Sri.Malaiyandi temples situated at Pulithipatti Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District, on the basis of the petitioners representation, dated 10.02.2020.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the performance of the Panguni Uthira Festival scheduled to be held on 06.04.2020. She would further submit that there is an objection raised by one Villan Son of Motchaithinni from the same village and that, if the petitioner gives a representation to implead the said aforesaid Villan, due enquiry would be conducted by the third respondent police and proper orders will be passed.

3. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to implead the rival party. The respondent police shall conduct an enquiry and pass orders, within a period of Three Weeks, from the date of representation of the petitioner.
