RESPONDENT / RESPONDENT Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to suspend the sentence imposed by the 2nd Additional Special Court for NDPS Act cases, Madurai passed in C.C.No.417of 2006 dated 08.11.2016 pending disposal of the criminal appeal. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.

MUNIYANDI, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.P.KANDASAMY, Government Advocate(Crl.Side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is present. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent is also present.

2. Heard.

3. On perusal of the records would show that this Court vide order dated 22.02.2017 has granted interim appeal bail and suspension of sentence to the petitioners till 22.03.2017.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent has no objection to suspend the sentence of imprisonment alone, till the disposal of the Appeal, since Appeal bail and suspension of sentence had already been granted by this Court.

5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case this Court is inclined to suspend the sentence of imprisonment alone, till the disposal of the Criminal Appeal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed
