PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to ensure that the treatment under the Siddha system of medicine is covered under all types of policies issued by the Insurance Companies on par with Ayurvedic system of medicine. [Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] The matter has nothing to do with any public interest. 2.The petitioner subscribes to a particular system of medicine and wants the whole world to be converted to such philosophy.

3.The petitioner may use whatever channel that may be available to the petitioner to propagate his views. The Court does not have either the expertise or the inclination to promote a particular form of medicine unless there is a legislation in such regard.

4.It may also serve the petitioner well to approach the policy-makers so that an appropriate legislation may be brought. 5.W.P.(MD)No.4410 of 2021 is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs.
