Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation. 1/4

2. The petitioner got married to one Veena. Through the wedlock, Sai Swathi was born on 11.07.1993.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the date of birth was wrongly entered as 11.10.1993 instead of 11.07.1993. In all the other records, the date of birth is mentioned only as 11.07.1993. The petitioner's daughter is likely to get US citizenship. However, this discrepancy is posing impediment. The petitioner therefore wants the date of birth of her daughter as mentioned in the birth certificate issued by the respondent Corporation to be corrected. Her name also has to be corrected. In the birth certificate, it has been mentioned as P.Sai Swathi. It has to be corrected as Sai Swathi Prabhu Sankar as per the passport entry. Seeking these twin changes in the birth certificate, the petitioner has given a representation dated 06.02.2023.

4. The respondent is directed to consider the said representation and give a disposal as early as possible taking into account the requirement of the petitioner.
