PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 20.09.2017 within the stipulated time.

O RDER This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 20.09.2017, wherein the petitioner seeks for correction in the revenue records and for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to Survey No.637/1 in Munangipatti Village, Nanguneri Taluk, 2.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property in Survey No.637/1 measuring an extent of 4.10 acres was purchased by the petitioner through a registered sale deed dated 17.11.2006 registered as document No.1477/2006. According to the petitioner, during UDR scheme, there were some mistakes in making entry and hence, the petitioner made a representation in this regard to the second respondent for correction of the mistake and for the issuance of fresh patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to the subject property. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in the present writ petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner on 20.09.2017 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final order within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with all the relevant documents and a copy of this order.
5.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above said direction. No costs.
