Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 4 and 5 to give permission and police protection for conducting the festival namely "Varsaabisegam" and "Maasi Sivarathiri Kalari" on 18.02.2023 in the temple namely, "Veedu Kaakum Kaliamman" situated at Kankkankudi Village, Thirupuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 31.01.2023.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 4 and 5 to give permission and police protection for conducting the festival namely "Varsaabisegam" and 2/6

"Maasi Sivarathiri Kalari on 18.02.2023 in the temple namely, Veedu Kaakum Kaliamman situated at Kankkankudi Village, Thirupuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 31.01.2023.

2.Mr.J.K.Jeyaseelan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3, Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 4 and 5 and Mr.MD.Thamimul Ansari, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents 6 to 8. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 4 and 5 would submit that since there are rival groups, the matter was referred to Tahsildar, Thiruppuvanam and he has already summoned the parties to participate in the peace committee meeting scheduled today. 3/6

4. Recording the said submission, the Tahsildar , Thiruppuvanam, is directed to conduct meeting and consider the claims of both the parties and pass orders today itself.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
