Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2021 and to safeguard the right to worship in the Festival of Pathrakaliamman Temple, Kuravakudi Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District scheduled to be conducted during the last week of March in accordance with the Peace Committee Meeting dated 25.02.2021. O R D E R

The main contention of Mr.P.R.Prithviraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that inspite of the agreement between the petitioner and the other community people in the Peace Committee Meeting held on 25.02.2021 regarding the right to worship, the other community people are restraining the present petitioner and his community people from entering into the Temple. His further contention is that the Temple Festival is scheduled to be held tomorrow (23.03.2021).

2. Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents would contend that in the Peace Committee Meeting held on 25.02.2021, the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

WP(MD)No.4404 of 2021 counsel signed the resolution as a witness. He would further contend that the Temple Festival commenced day before yesterday and everything is going smoothly as far as the Festival of Pathrakaliamman Temple, Kuravakudi Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District is concerned.

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the representation of the present petitioner dated 08.02.2021 and pass appropriate orders based on findings and on merits.

4. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
