ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner was a retired employee of the respondent/Corporation. His grievance is that incorrect details were furnished by the private respondents herein. He therefore wants action to be taken against the respondents 4 to 7 for the lapse committed by them.

3.This Court has consistently taken the view that the decision to take disciplinary action against the employee is to be exercised solely at the discretion of the employer concerned. It is not open to a third party to seek issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, for directing the employer to take disciplinary action against the concerned employee. The petitioner has no locus-standi to make such a request.
