Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The petitioner is a retired Government employee. He was also a member of the respondent/Co-operative Society. He has availed loan from them. The petitioner is aggrieved by the deduction of interest at the rate of 14% charged on the said loan. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he had not agreed for levy of interest at such an exorbitant rate. According to the petitioner this is a violation of the RBI norms. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents produced a copy of the surety credit bond as well as the
other documents signed by the petitioner. The petitioner had specifically undertaken to repay the loan amount with interest at the rate of 14%. Since the petitioner has himself agreed to pay at the aforesaid interest rate, this Court sitting in writ jurisdiction, cannot extend any relief to the petitioner. This Court does not find any merit in the Writ Petition. 5.The Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
