ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the 1st Respondent to instruct the 2nd Respondent police to conduct a proper enquiry on the basis of the petitioner's complaint, dated 12.11.2025, and investigate the same in accordance with law.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in a complaint lodged before the 2nd respondent police on 06.01.2022 in which a First Information Report in Crime No.10 of 2022 was registered for the offences under Sections 279 and 304(A) of IPC as against the driver of one Eicher lorry bearing Reg.No.TN-52-H-5346, which caused the accidental death of her husband. In this regard, she had given a representation to the 1st respondent police on 12.11.2025 to expedite the investigation. However, the same was not considered by the respondents and hence, this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that FIR was registered on 12.11.2025 and after completion of elaborate investigation, final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Vadipatti, as 'further action dropped'.

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), giving liberty to the petitioner to file a protest petition before the concerned Court, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. 17.02.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No dss To:- 1.The Superintendent of Police, Madurai City, Madurai.
