ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 04.12.2017 and 04.02.2026 and to issue patta and computer chitta based on the assignment order vide proceedings in T.K.T.No.6/89 dated 30.07.1979 in respect of the Survey No.1744/5 for an extent of 1.59 Acres, situated at Ayyalur Revenue Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in

possession and peaceful enjoyment of the subject property. The petitioner submitted representations dated 04.12.2017 and 04.02.2026, requesting to issue patta and computer chitta based on the assignment proceedings in T.K.T.No.6/89, dated 30.07.1979, in his name. However, the second respondent has not considered the said representations till date. Hence, this Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations and issue patta and computer chitta, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representations will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the aforesaid submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 04.12.2017 and 04.02.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representations shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an

enquiry. The second respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision. Needless to state that in the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
