ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 3rd respondent to act upon petitioner's complaint in CSR.No.86/2026 dt.27.01.2026 and to conduct a fair, impartial and effective investigation in accordance with law and to further direct the respondents 1 and 2 to supervise and monitor the investigation.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner gave a complaint on 27.01.2026, for which CSR No.86 of 2026 was issued. However, even after lapse of nearly 10 days, no action has been initiated on her complaint. Hence, this petition came to be filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that an FIR has already been registered against the petitioner in connection with another case in Crime No.320 of 2026. On enquiry upon the petitioner's complaint, it is revealed that the complaint given by the petitioner is 2/4

completely false, and only the rival party sustained injuries and the same was closed.

4. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner drew my attention to a communication received from the Superintendent of Police, Melur Police Station, Madurai, that appropriate action would be taken on his complaint within fifteen days. However, it is ridiculous that the learned Government Advocate has submitted that the complaint has been closed on 01.02.2026.

5. Recording the submission made, this criminal original petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedy in the manner known to law, by filing a petition before the Jurisdictional Magistrate under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C., / 175(3) BNSS.
