Ramasamy, Viralipatty, Veeranampatti Post, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District. ...Respondent/s This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties present. The counsel for the appellant/s Mr.K.Jagadees Balan and the counsel for the respondent/s Mr.S.Vinoth for R1, Mr.D.Venkatachalam for R2 are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties and with the assistance of the Bench, both sides consented for settlement.
AWARD The writ petitioner represented by the General Manager, representing the Transport Corporation present along with his counsel. The second respondent, viz., Suresh and his counsel are present. The parties have discussed the contentious and issues and also arrived at an amicable settlement, which has been reduced by way of joint memo. In the joint memo, the parties and their respective counsel have also signed. Hence, the said joint memo is taken on file and the writ petition is disposed of in terms of joint memo of compromise.
2. The learned counsel for the first respondent Special Joint Commissioner of Labour, Mr.S.Vinoth, is also present and he has no objection for the compromise between the parties being recorded. Considering the fact that the first respondent is only a formal party, the presence of the first respondent is dispensed with and the compromise between the parties is recorded and the joint memo shall form part and parcel of the award. The writ petition is disposed of in the terms of the joint memo, dated 08.03.2025.

The full Court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamilnadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 21 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994. The Original of the award shall be place in the court record and copy of the award, kept with High Court Legal Services Committee and one copy each is furnished to both parties free of cost. In agreement of the above, both parties and their counsel have affixed their signatures/ thumb impressions in presence of the Lok Adalat Bench admitting the terms and today conditions and accordingly, the award is passed.
