O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2025 and permit her to repair, deepen, and expand the existing well situated on her patta land in Re-Survey No.162/2B1 at Muthurenganpatti Village, Krishnarayapuram Taluk, Karur District.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner purchased the land measuring an extent of 2.5 acres in the year 2025 for the purpose of carrying out agricultural activities. An irrigation Well already exists in the said property, which is about 20 feet in depth. The existence of the irrigation Well is reflected in the schedule of the property in the petitioner's Sale Deed No.3936 of 2025. The petitioner decided to repair, deepen, and expand the existing Well to dimensions sufficient for irrigation purposes and engaged contract labour for the said work. However, the third respondent prevented the petitioner from carrying out the repair work. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.12.2025 seeking permission to repair, deepen, and expand the existing well on her patta land. Since the said representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

Accordingly, the Block Development Officer, Krishnarayapuram, is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the Block Development Officer, Krishnarayapuram, along with a copy of this order. Upon receipt of the same, the Block Development Officer shall consider the request and pass appropriate orders, and grant necessary approval, if otherwise in order, for the purpose of repairing and deepening the well, in terms of the provisions of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Regulation of Sinking of Wells and Safety Measures) Rules, 2015, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
