ORDER

Challenging the order passed by the third respondent not permitting the petitioner's son to write +2 examination as a private candidate on the ground that the petitioner's son did not complete 16 1⁄2 years, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner's son was born on 12.11.2001 and he has passed 10th examination in March 2016, and joined +2 course, now has completed his +2 course, he has to write +2 final examination to be held in March 2018. But by order dated 25.01.2018, the third respondent prevented the petitioner's son from writing +2 examination on the ground that the petitioner's son did not complete 16 1⁄2 years.

3.Admittedly, the petitioner's son did not complete 161⁄2 years and as per G.O.Ms.No.122, Education Department, dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

25.02.1992, a student who has completed 16 1⁄2 years alone is eligible to write +2 examination. Since the petitioner's son did not complete 16 1⁄2 years, the third respondent has rightly prevented him from writing +2 examination for this year. I find no infirmity in the order passed by the third respondent. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P(MD)Nos.3659 and 3660 of 2018 are closed.
