2.Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2609 of 2024 had been filed by the Petitioner to quash the charge sheet in C.C.No.381 of 2023 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni.

3.Mr.A.Balaji, learned Counsel [Enrl.No.3412/2012], who had filed vakalat on behalf of the Petitioners/Accused in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2573 of 2024 and the second and third Respondents in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2609 of 2024, Mr..B.Thanga Aravindh, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing on behalf of the first Respondent in both cases and Mr.T.Logaisami, learned Counsel (Enrl.No.2058/2012], who had filed vakalat on behalf of the Petitioner/Accused in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2609 of 2024 and the second Respondent in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2573 of 2024 are present in Court.

4.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners in both cases submitted that the Petitioners in both cases are arrayed as accused in the respective cases in Cr.Nos.220 and 317 of 2022 pending on the file of the first Respondent. The learned Counsel also submitted that it is a case and counter. Subsequent to the registration of FIRs, they have decided to give a 3/6

quietus to the animosity between them, which resulted in registration of cases against each other. Therefore, they have arrived at an amicable settlement. They had also filed joint compromise memos reporting settlement.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions from the first Respondent submitted that both parties had preferred a statement before the first Respondent that they wanted to give a quietus to the criminal cases pending against each other. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) also furnished the status report filed by the first Respondent. Recording the status report filed by the first Respondent as well as the joint compromise memos filed by the parties concerned, these Criminal Original Petitions are allowed and the case in C.C.Nos.261 and 381 of 2022 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni, are quashed.
