[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to establish a permanent Paddy Collection Centre at Kallimadai @ Poolankulam near K.Nedunkulam Village for procuring both Samba and Kuruvai Paddy by taking into account the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.B1/8334/2022(1), dated 09.01.2024.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider his representation, dated 15.12.2023.
3. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit that similar representation made by the petitioner has been rejected vide order, dated 23.01.2024 and the same is also placed before this Court.
4. However, considering the request of the petitioner to establish a permanent Paddy Collection Centre, we direct the second respondent to
consider the petitioner's representation, dated 15.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing opportunity to all the parties concerned.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
