ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner for a direction directing the respondents 1, 3 and 4 to install the new statue of Goddess Jakkammal in the temple situated at Nagampatti Village, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District. 2.There is a dispute between the petitioner's group and rival group in respect of the Temple situated at Nagampatti Village, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District. The petitioner seeks permission to install the statue of Goddess Jakkammal in a temple situated at Nagampatti Village, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District in the Government poramboke land. It is a private Temple 2/5
and as such, no Temple can be permitted to erect in the public places.
3.In view of the above, the direction sought for in this Writ Petition cannot be considered and the Writ Petition itself is devoid of merits and the same is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. If any construction in the name of Temple, in which the petitioner sought for permission in the land situated at Nagampatti Village, Kariyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District, the first respondent is directed to remove the same, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law. The petitioner can very well construct Temple in his own patta land and he is not permitted to construct any Temple in public places.
