This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission to perform the program of ''Adal Padal'' on 13.02.2018 night at about 06.00 PM to 12.00 AM at Arulmigu Thirukotti Ayyanar Thirukovil, is situated at Perungattur, Thiruvenkadam Taluk, Sankarankovil, Tirunelveli District and to provide adequate Police protection based on the petitioner's representations dated 28.12.2017.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that every year the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting the programs such as 'Adal Padal'', likewise, from 06.00 PM to 12.00 AM on 13.02.2018, also they decided to celebrate the festival at the above said temple and for that, they have already given a representation dated 28.12.2017 to the respondent and no order has been passed till now.

4.The respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 28.12.2017 and dispose of the same on or before 23.01.2018.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
