Respondent PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the enquiry report sent by the Joint Director of Horticulture, Chennai in his letter vz;.njh.E.gh.K 3528/2014, ehs; 29.05.2017, withing a specific time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Mr.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself

4. The Writ Petitioner is a former employee of the respondent Department.

He reached the superannuation on 31.03.2015. He was not allowed to retire and placed under suspension. An enquiry was conducted against him. It is submitted that the Joint Director of Horticulture/enquiry officer had sent his final report also. But till date final orders are https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

yet to be passed on the said enquiry report. The writ petitioner had already crossed 61 years. The respondent is not justified in delaying the matter any further.

5. This Court, therefore, directs the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the enquiry report sent by the Joint Director of Horticulture, Chennai on or before 31.03.2018
