O R D E R

The writ of quo warranto has been moved by the writ petitioner with the relief for a direction in the nature of writ to show cause under what authority the third respondent continues to hold the post of Director of Medical Education in Tamil Nadu.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner brought to the notice of this Court that already the order of appointment issued in favour of the third respondent had been nullified by the Division Bench of this Court in Writ Appeal(MD) Nos.1300 and 1301 of 2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted the order passed by the Government in G.O.(D).No.127, Health and Family Welfare (A1) Department, dated 22.01.2018, which state as follows:

"2. In continuation of the G.O. fourth read above, on complying the orders of the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, the Government is clarified that since the post has been declared vacant in G.O. 4th read above, Dr.A.Edwin Joe, stands reverted as Dean from the date of issue of the G.O. 4th read above."

4. In view of the order passed by the Government, no further orders are required in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
