ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 3 to grant permission to the petitioner to erect decorative arches during Maasi Festival at Uthayagiri Sastha Rajarajeswari Devastanam situated at Karungal - Thengapattinam State Highway in Keezkulam Village, Killiyur Taluk, Kanyakumari District by considering the representation given by the petitioner on 09.01.2026.

2. Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 and 3. Mr.A.Albert James, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents 2 and 4. 2/6

3. By consent on either sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a representation on 09.01.2026 for erection of decorative arches during Maasi Festival at Uthayagiri Sastha Rajarajeswari Devastanam situated at Karungal - Thengapattinam State Highway in Keezkulam Village, Killiyur Taluk, Kanyakumari District. However, the same is yet to be considered. Hence, the Writ Petition.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be disposed within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.01.2026 and dispose of the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) days from today i.e., on or before 11.02.2026.

7. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 3 is directed to forthwith inform the respondents 1 and 3 about the direction of this Court to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026 within a period of two (2) days from today i.e., on or before 11.02.2026.

8. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
