This petition has been filed to call for the records and quash the proceedings in Crime No. 44 of 2013, on the file of the first respondent police.

2.On reading of the first information report, it shows that there are serious allegations as against the petitioners herein. Therefore, it cannot be quashed on its threshold. It has to be investigated in a detailed manner. Furthermore, the dispute is between the daughter-in-law and the father-in-law. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to quash the F.I.R.

3.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
