O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to cancel the patta granted in favour of the fourth to sixth respondents in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.115/1A1, measuring an extent of 1 acre, situated at Boothakudi Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2025, within a time frame stipulated by this Court.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the fourth to sixth respondents, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against them.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the subject property originally belonged to the fourth respondent, who entered into a sale agreement dated 21.03.2007 with the petitioner after receiving an advance Page No. 2 of 6
amount. As the sale was not completed, the petitioner instituted civil proceedings for specific performance, which ultimately ended in favour of the petitioner in the appeal suits. The petitioner has also deposited the balance sale consideration before the Court.

However, at the instance of the fourth respondent, the fourth respondent's daughter filed a suit, suppressing the earlier proceedings, seeking partition among the family members and obtained a compromise decree. Based on the said compromise decree, the fourth respondent executed a sale deed in favour of the fifth and sixth respondents.
5. On the basis of the said sale deed, the third respondent mutated the patta in the names of the fourth to sixth respondents. Thereafter, the petitioner filed an appeal before the second respondent on 19.07.2021 seeking cancellation of the patta. Upon receipt of the same, the second respondent directed the third respondent to send a report. However, no further action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner submitted representations dated 28.08.2024 and 24.11.2025. Even thereafter, no action has been taken. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

6. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks.
7. Recording the above submissions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent shall afford a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the private respondents and all other interested parties before passing orders. No costs.
