This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct the "Kabadi Tournament" on 13.01.2018 and 14.01.2018, to be conducted in Eragudi Village, Turaiyur Taluk, Trichy District and to provide police protection.

2.Heard, Mr.N.Mohan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Villagers of the Eragudi Village. The villagers are conducting the Kabadi Tournament in every year and this year, they have decided to conduct the Kabadi Tournament on 13.01.2018 and 14.01.2018. Hence, he seeks police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/ Inspector of Police, Uppliliapuram Police Station, Trichy District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and dispose of the same on or before 11.01.2018. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
