PRAYER :-For Bail in Crime No.142 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Sole Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 19.01.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 417, 420 and 506(1) of IPC, in Crime No.142 of 2018, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner received a sum of Rs.2,40,000/- from the de-facto complainant by giving false promise that he would arrange Conductor job in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and thereafter, he failed to secure the job and refused to return the said amount. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

CRL OP(MD). No.3868 of 2022 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner had promised the de-facto complainant to make arrangement for getting Conductor Job in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and received a sum of Rs.2,40,000/- and that he is having one previous case for similar offence. He would further submit that the petitioner is having property and he has not chosen to return the amount received by him to the victim. 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged and also the fact that the petitioner is having one previous case for similar offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
