Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent i.e., the Director of Local Fund Audit, Chennai to sanction pension to the petitioner as per the proposals sent by the Commissioner of Panchayat Union, Singampunari, Sivagangai District, in his letter No.R.C.NO.975/2015/A1 dated 06.07.2017, within a specified time, that may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R
The petitioner retired as Record Clerk on 30.06.2014. The petitioner was allowed to retire. But his retirement benefits have not been disbursed till date. It is not disputed that the petitioner is not facing any disciplinary action or criminal action. He therefore filed the present writ petition for directing the first respondent to sanction pension to him.
https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, a copy of the letter sent by the first respondent to the third respondent was
placed before this Court for perusal. It is seen that due to some audit objection, a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- has been ordered to be withheld for the present. It has been stated therein that the said amount will be released after getting clarification from the Government.
3.Preserving the right of the writ petitioner to question the said act of withholding the sum of Rs.1,50,000/-, direction is issued to the first respondent to sanction the pension to the petitioner and also disburse the remaining benefit which are entitled to be paid to the petitioner. Such disbursement will be done within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
