ORDER

The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the second respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner.

2.Mr.M.Sankar, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the private respondents brutally attacked the petitioner and also insisted the petitioner to marry her son to the ninth respondent, who is 17 years old. His further contention is that the private respondents also damaged the property of the petitioner and that though a complaint was lodged with the second respondent, no action has been initiated against the private respondents, till date.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.3234 of 2021 3.Mr.R.Erottuchamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would contend that the complaint lodged by the present petitioner with the second respondent was registered in Current Petition No.72/SDOF/PET/2021 and it is pending for enquiry. 4.Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the second respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 22.02.2021, based on findings and on merits, after giving notice and sufficient opportunity to the respondents 3 to 9 and the present petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
