ORDER

The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner, her husband and family members of her husband on the ground that the petitioner married her husband against the wishes of her parents and that they are threatening her and her husband with dire consequences.

2.Mr.R.Erottuchamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would contend that the second respondent did not receive any representation from the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.3212 of 2021 3.In the circumstances, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation to the second respondent and on receipt of the said representation, the second respondent shall pass appropriate orders based on findings and on merits, after giving notice and sufficient opportunity to the private respondent and the present petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a representation from the petitioner. In the mean while, if necessary, the second respondent is directed to give police protection to the petitioner, petitioner's husband and his family members.

4.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
