This Writ Petition is filed directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders in petitioner's objections dated 30.07.2025 pertinent to acquisition of petitioner's lands in Sy.Nos.130/4, 254/3, 264/2C2 and 241/2B in Block Nos.2, 5 and 8 of South Veerapandiapuram Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the lawful owner and in possession of the subject properties. However, on 30.06.2025, the second respondent issued a notice under Section 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisiton of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997, for formation of Allikulam Oil Refinery Industry in his land. Hence, the petitioner submitted an objection dated 30.07.2025 requesting to desist from acquiring the petitioner's land, but no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's objection dated 30.07.2025 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the aforesaid submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's objection dated 30.07.2025 relating to the subject lands and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twenty(20) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed.
