[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] This is a matter where the petitioner seeks a village road to be exalted to a highway.

2.These are matters where the Court must not interfere and leave the decision to the appropriate local bodies and policymakers. There is no doubt that every village wants to be connected by roads and wants the national highway to go by it, but these are not matters where the Court should force any decision without taking into consideration the myriad other factors including the expenses, that go into such decision-making process.

3.It will be upto the petitioner to convince the respondent authorities to undertake the work that the petitioner desires. The Court cannot be of any assistance to the petitioner. 4.W.P.(MD)No.4413 of 2021 is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs.
