ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and 5 would submit that the license for sand quarrying/mining was cancelled in the year 2023 itself. Thus, no further adjudication is required in the writ petition. 2/4

2. However, in the event of any theft/illegal sand quarrying/mining, the petitioner is at liberty to file a complaint before the jurisdictional police and the revenue authorities who in turn has to initiate prosecution against the offenders.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
