This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents, namely, the Regional Transport Officer, Tirunelveli and the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Tirunelveli, to pass some orders on his representation, dated 26.07.2019.
2.The petitioner had purchased a Royal Enfield Motor Cycle having Temporary Registration No.TN 72 TMP 63935. Unfortunately, the petitioner had lost the Form No.20. He had sent a representation dated 26.07.2019, seeking registration of the said vehicle.
3.Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
4.It is stated that the Form No.20 is available online and the petitioner can download the form and submit his application for registration. The petitioner to also explain whether he had given any police complaint for lost of Form No.20.

5. In view of all these facts, the petitioner may make a short visit to the Office of the first respondent and comply with the formalities as required by the first respondent. Unless the petitioner complies with the same, the respondent may not be able to register the vehicle. Therefore, in order to prove the loss and ownership, complaint is necessary. Thereafter, the respondents may pass orders on his representation dated 26.07.2019.
6. In the first instance, the petitioner may go over to the office of the first respondent on 13.03.2020 between 11.00 a.m and 12.00 noon and on that date, the first respondent may instruct the petitioner to produce the necessary documents. If the petitioner complies with the same, the respondent pass orders on the representation, dated 26.07.2019, on or before 15.04.2020. 7.With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
