ORDER

The present writ petition is filed for issuance of Mandamus directing the third respondent to grant permission and grant necessary police protection for conducting Kabadi tournament.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that already there was a dispute among two groups of villagers and hence, there is a serious objection made by one group for conducting Kabadi tournament. He further submitted that there would be a law and order problem.

3. From the records, it is seen that the two groups have dispute regarding a marriage and that cannot be a ground for rejecting permission. However, with some restrictions, the petitioners may be granted permission. Accordingly, this Court directs 2/4

the petitioners to submit a representation to the respondent police after deciding a date between 09.02.2026 and 13.02.2026 to conduct the Kabadi Tournament and time may be fixed between 04.00 a.m, and 10.00 a.m. On such representation, the respondent police shall grant permission to conduct Kabadi tournament with other usual conditions.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
