ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents Nos.1 and 2 to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner's life and limp and his family deity Ramar Temple situated in Pungapatti village and take action against the respondents 3 to 8 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2020, in accordance with law.

2.The case of the petitioner is that his family deity of Sri Ramar Temple siutated in Pungapatti village. During the Tamil month of Avani, the petitioner used to conduct festival in the temple every year. This year the petitioner intended to conduct temple festival. The petitioner had been usually obtaining permission for conducting temple festival. This year the respondents 3 to 8, who https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

are strangers to the temple, threatened the petitioner and thereby, he had approached the official respondents seeking to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner. 3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) would submit that the petitioner had given complaint on 15.02.2020, which was received by the respondents on 18.02.2020 and the respondents have initiated enquiry in C.S.R.No.91 of 2020. She would submit that earlier years the petitioner had approached this Court without impleading the rival parties and this year there had been a dispute among the members in the village, particularly, respondents 3 to 8 and she would submit that appropriate summons will be issued to the petitioner as well as the rival parties and due enquiry would be conducted and if necessary, the matter will also be referred to the Thasildar for conducting peace committed meeting and if the villagers arrive at a consensus to conduct temple festival, appropriate protection will be given.
